Giving a child a family

One of the key decisions I made this year was to adopt a child. Somewhere, some corner of this world, a girl child is waiting for me to get adopted. Every day I read a news of child abuse in the schools and families, my mind immediately shifts to those in ashrams and orphanages. Are the guardians over there really a guardian?  I want to do a bit to this society.  I know many parents do not adopt children because they do not see much stories around them.  Most of the parents who adopt kids are childless couples. Very few parents who already have biological kids go for adoption. Many say the rules in India are very stringent and there are reasons for it. I want to make this commitment to myself: Adopt a child. And in my lifetime, enable some 100 families to adopt a child. Follow me on http://familyforchild.blogspot.com and support me along the journey.

It was a bad day; but...

It really  started  as a bad day..but as the day closes, its a good day.
A small lie here - it didnt start bad..I woke up at 4..it was few hours later it became  bad.
I dont care now whether  it  was because  of  stars  or because  of  my shortcomings  but when I understood  the situation  like an outsider  it started  becoming  better.
We shouldn't  screwup our family  and  friends  just because  someone  else  does  that  to us.
We have tools at our disposal.
We can handle any situation.
I don't  need a crown;
The world will not drown;
Even if, I will not frown .

Kaththi movie review

Watched  Kaththi  1st day 2nd show.
Vijay  double act. He fights for farmers against  cola  companies land grabbing. Very long story telling. Many scenes remind you  of  sura, velayudham, thuppaki  and thalaivaa. Some scenes  are interesting  and some are really testing  patience. Murugadoss  reminds  scenes from  7aam Arivu. Anirudh music is actually  a noise. Vijay is very youthful. Opening  scene is really good and i believed  entire story  will build on it. Murugadoss tends to do another message for society  movie. Samantha  has no role to play. Missing logics in some places. Vijay fans cheered a lot in the theatre.
You can watch  once.

Rotten fences

Last month the Bangalore kid's abuse newsat School made a wave - but lets not forgot forget there are more and more rotten fences polluting the society. They should be eradicated.  I wish this Diwali be celebrated to wage a war against the modern Narakasuras.

Today ia Jose Silva birthday

August 11 is Jose Silva's birthday. My ideas on spirituality was shaped by the mental model created by this man. Even today I keep going to his books again and again and keep myself operating at Alpha level.
I helped many through his techniques. I could heal myself through his ideas. I stayed positive at will.
My salutes to this great man.

Thanga Meengal

I watched the Thanga Meengal movie in Sun Tv last night. Though I know its a heavy subject movie, I made it a point to watch the movie along with my daughter.
The movie has so much messages to offer. My daughter asked in the beginning why it has been titled so to which I said I would answer at the end. I did.
Nobody has acted in the movie. It has message for the schools,  teachers,  parents and each one of us. Every father who sends quality time with his daughter will understand this movie.
This movie would have won awards but the message of the movie is beyond all that.
Our Kollywood heroes will not dare to act in such movies as there is no gun, vulgarity and item songs.
Special mention to Revita teacher as well who became my favourite too. Glad that the movie ended in a positive note otherwise I would have gone to bed with a heavy heart.

Airtel Super Singer 4 - My views

Airtel Super Singer is the only program I watch on the television. Singing along with singers energize me and the program is well organized.
Though my favorite, the program is not without flaws. There are instances where I could clearly see bias towards certain contestants.
My favourites are Syed, Parvathy and Sonia.
For me, Syed's voice is manliness, Parvathy is that of perfection, Sonia is that of Singer Chitra like beauty.
All three are amazing singers.  Selecting one person as a winner is only momentary. How would you say who is the best singer among the judges? All are good in several ways.
I am not for online/SMS voting. Technology can be exploited to someone to get more votes.
I am a huge fan of Singer Chitra, and that makes me Sonia my favourite.I wish she wins this title.
One person whom I feel should have been in finals is Krishnan.
The judge panel should be changed.
